Web casting of polling from almost all polling booths have been placed for the monitoring of process by Election Commission. Polling for Charilam seat has been postponed till the 12th of next month following the death of a candidate.
About 16,000 polling personnel accompanied by more than 20,000 armed security personnel have been deployed at 3,174 polling booths. The counting of the votes will be held on March 3 along with Nagaland and Meghalaya where polling will be held on February 27.
